Admin Panel FAQ
Which Admin Panel do we purchase?
Use the PSOP Admin Panel for general organizations, Business Admin Panel for employers and enterprises, University Admin Panel for higher education, School Admin Panel for K-12, PSOP Agency Panel for city and government services, and Hospital Admin Panel for hospitals and approved healthcare organizations. PSOP keeps the underlying authority model consistent while the customer-facing title matches the purchaser.
What is a Biometric Access Point?
A Biometric Access Point is an approved website, app verification point, workstation, terminal, or physical endpoint that requests PSOP identity verification. The Patron does not type a username, password, email address, or 10-digit member number to authenticate.
How does a Patron use an Access Point?
Trusted-device proximity may present the Access Point automatically on the enrolled piSun App. If proximity does not detect the Patron, the Patron can select Biometric Access Point and choose Request Access to Verify Identity. The piSun App then uses the Patron's preselected Digit/Fingerprint, Face, Iris, Voice, or approved combination.
Does piSun provide the physical access point?
No. piSun does not provide, own, install, host, or operate your website, physical location, door, reader, or other endpoint. Your Organization or platform provider supplies and operates it.
What does piSun provide?
piSun provides the code and configuration required for an eligible Organization-provided endpoint to participate as a piSun Biometric Access Point and adds that Access Point to the appropriate Admin Panel relationship.
Is a website or app an Access Point?
Yes, when configured to use piSun biometric access. App verification points should use the same Biometric Access Point language and Request Access to Verify Identity flow.
Does every access point cost $30?
No. The access-point addition is $5. The additional $25 applies only when authorized Coder configuration is required for that add.
What if our platform needs an adapter or bridge?
That is a separate integration. Platform reconfiguration, custom adapters, bridges, or other piSun-provided integration work are separately scoped and priced and are not included in the standard access-point charges.
What activity is billed at five cents?
Successful piSun biometric website access, successful privileged Admin Panel biometric access, successful authorized Access Point use, and qualifying successful document downloads are billed at $0.05 per event. Failed or denied attempts and ordinary browsing without piSun biometric authentication are not billed as usage events.
Student Academic Record & Enrollment FAQ
These controls protect a student's continuing academic history while keeping each school relationship separately authorized.
Does a student lose their academic record when they leave?
No. The student keeps lifetime access to their finalized academic record in piSun and may release selected verified records to another academic institution.
Does the former school keep access to the student's piSun Vault?
No. When the student relationship ends, the former University, College, School, or District loses its active access to the student's submitted and released Vault material. The institution may retain its own institutional records, but that does not provide continuing access to the student's piSun Vault.
Can finalized grades be changed after the student leaves?
Finalized grades cannot be silently overwritten. A legitimate correction may use an append-only exceptional correction process for no more than five calendar months after the student relationship ends. The original record remains preserved with its provenance and the correction requires separate review and an audit trail. After the five-month deadline, that former relationship cannot initiate another correction.
What if the student enrolls at that institution again?
The University or School sends a new enrollment or re-enrollment request to the student's piSun App. The student may Accept or Decline it. Acceptance requires piSun authorization and creates a new active relationship; it does not reopen the former relationship, reset its five-month correction period, or make historical finalized grades editable.
Can a school add a student without the student's acceptance?
No. A new enrollment or re-enrollment relationship requires the student's authorized acceptance in the piSun App, following the same consent principle used when an Organization requests to add a Patron.
Can a student change their own grades?
No. Lifetime access and control over record release do not give the student authority to rewrite institution-issued grades. Students may use the authorized grade-appeal process where available.
