Activated computer required
A school-owned computer must already be activated as a piSun endpoint for this University or School before the Student Desktop may be installed for managed use.
This view uses the existing Organization panels. Your secure piSun session confirms the Organization type and each person’s authorized position and scope after sign-in.
President · Provost · Dean · Department chair · Registrar · Faculty / instructor · Researcher · Lab manager · Teaching assistant · Administrative staff · Human resources staff · Payroll staff · Security staff · Other employee
Students: enrollment and CampusID; academic and resource access remains separately authorized.
Optional scope: Campus · College · Department · Program · Course · Class · Lab.
Preparing a position does not appoint an official, record an election, grant payroll or academic authority, or authorize entry.
Enable the piSun Student Desktop for students and approved school-owned computers. PSOP remains the endpoint, biometric sign-in, and authorization authority.
When checked, eligible students may download the Student Desktop from piSun. Authorized school administrators may also install it onto a school computer that is already registered as an Activated piSun Endpoint.

The Student Desktop login screen displays a short computer number so the student can easily recognize the correct nearby school endpoint.
This number is for recognition only. It is not a PIN, password, authentication code, or secret.
When the student's trusted piSun phone is near that endpoint, the phone can surface the same computer number and ask the student to authorize that computer.
The visible computer number helps the student identify the endpoint. It never authenticates the student. The session begins only after the trusted phone and PSOP complete the student's biometric authorization for that specific endpoint.
